Battle System Begins


The battle system of this game has gone through a lot of rewriting but I think I'm close to finalizing it. Originally I was going to do real time combat in the world. This was back when the game was going to be top down instead of side scroller. Then it was going to look very similar to Deltarune by complete coincidence. After playing Deltarune I decided I should change the system to distinguish it from material that inspired me. I wanted to keep it a bullet hell while still adding something unique to it. I've decided on a system similar to Deltarune/Undertale but increased the size of the battle box and gave the player more abilities for the rounds. 

Playstyle will still probably feel reminiscent of Toby Fox's games and I don't see much way to get away from that. I enjoy the branching story through actions and wanted to include a similar theme. I should really include an inspirations part of the credits.

It feels a little weird writing this for nobody right now but I hope to document this game a bit and at least pretend it has a following. Maybe one day it will.
