What's to Come for 1.6.0


A lot of updates have come out recently, with 1.5.0 finally bringing the Salami Man and the minor patches including achievements and saving, I'd like to talk about what's to come and where it's been.

So first, where it's been. I want to outline the previous updates that didn't get changelogs because I wasn't posting the game on itch yet.

Technically Salami Man came out in 1.4 but within the same day of finishing 1.4, I added the 1.5 features so I just grouped them together for the 1.5.0 update.

And now to where it's going.

My plans for 1.6.0 include new bosses and unlockable skins. More features may come as I think of them but for now, that's what it entails. Adding new bosses are complicated because the code for the end of the game has to be adjusted, new art assets have to be made, and new attack patterns have to be programmed. Salami Man has about as much code as the rest of the bosses combined.

Something I'd like to add later include a soundtrack with sfx. Sound design for me is hard because I'm not that musically talented and I don't want to add sfx without a soundtrack. If it does happen it would probably be 1.7.0 after 1.6.0 comes out. A 2.0.0 might come to be if I do a heavy overhaul and rebuild the game from the ground up for the most part. Adding way better graphics and displays. But this overhaul will probably just be broken down into small updated for the current build. I want to get back to Alice in Abyss but that game is very complicated for me and Miles Game is a good and easy outlet to work on game development.
